Paperback Castles

I live on a page in a book. My name is written in a curly and swirly font, along with long descriptions of sleepless nights and filled bookcases.

Meet Me At The Cupcake Cafe - Jenny Colgan This book holds all the ingredients for a delightful read. It has that special sugary flavor and perfect lightness, that will just melt on your tongue, and leave you with a warm sensation spreading all over your body, like a cup of hot chocolate on a cold winter's day. It is just as fluffy and pink as the cupcakes Issy bakes.

I read it on a cold and snowy day with a good cup of tea beside me, while hiding under a warm blanket. And that may just be the perfect way to read this book. Because at the end it will make you feel warm and fuzzy, radiating with happiness for the lovely and endearing characters and their happy endings. Too-good-to-be-true and fairytale-like, and yet perfectly satisfying. It is not designed to do anything remarkable other than planting a fast-spreading smile on the reader's face

It is everything you could expect from a typical chick-lit novel. And sometimes that is more than enough.
